The COPD CAMP CAnadian Mentorship Program educated GPs on the burden of COPD and optimized care through appropriate treatment selection. The program included four stages of mentorship: LEARNING, ASSESSMENT, GUIDANCE and DISCUSSION. The reach of the program was 148 physicians. Respirologist mentors guided GP mentees creating sustainable lines of communication and cross-specialty collaboration to improve patient care. Mentees completed patient assessments, advancing treatment for 133 patients.
